Privacy Policy
MapMedics ("we", "us") helps businesses recover and grow suspended Google Business Profiles. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we handle it.
What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email, phone number, business name and website, and the details of your Google Business Profile situation when you request a checkup, open a case, or email us.
- Case information: details about your Business Profile needed to work your case — listing contents, suspension notices, and (with your permission) Manager access to the profile itself.
- Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Ad-click identifiers: if you arrive from an ad, we store the click ID (e.g. gclid) in your browser and attach it to your enquiry so we can measure which ads work.
How we use it
- To diagnose your suspension, work your case, and communicate with you about it.
- To provide subscription services you've purchased (listing monitoring, ranking work, your customer dashboard).
- To bill you per the terms you agreed to — including charging your saved card only after a successful reinstatement.
- To send transactional email about your case or subscription. We don't run marketing drip campaigns; you'll hear from us about your own case, a post-completion offer, and little else.
- To measure advertising performance in aggregate.
What we share (and don't)
We never sell your information. We share it only with the services required to operate: Stripe (payments), our email provider (sending you case updates), Google (when filing your reinstatement or working your listing on your behalf), and our rank-data provider (which receives search keywords and locations, never your identity). Each processes data under its own privacy terms.
Cookies & tracking
We use browser storage to remember your ad click ID and basic site preferences. We don't run third-party ad trackers on this site.
Retention
Case records are kept while your case or subscription is active and for as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes afterwards. Ask us to delete your data and we will, unless a legal obligation requires keeping it.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email hello@mapmedics.com and we'll handle it promptly. Depending on where you live (including Canada's PIPEDA, the EU/UK GDPR, and various state laws), these rights may also be guaranteed to you by law.
